Hamble Aquatic Swim Team members have had great success at the South Eastern Amateur Swimming Association Regional Competitions held at Aldershot Garrison Pool for the Youth Championships on the 5th to 7th May and the Age Group Championships at K2 Swimming pool and Leisure complex in Crawley, West Sussex over the weekends of 2nd and 9th June. It is a great achievement just to qualify and they competed against the very best swimmers from all over the South East region, which encompasses Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire. This is the biggest number of entrants at Age Group and Youth Championships that Hamble Aquatics have ever posted since its formation 10 years ago. The Championships are held in Olympic sized 50-metre pools and for some of the younger swimmers it was their first time competing in a pool and competition of this size. The swimmers competing in Youth Championships, in the 14/15 years Girls - Saskia Warren, 20m & 100m Butterfly, 50m, 100m & 200m Freestyle, 100m & 200m Breaststroke. He also for the second year running became Regional Champion, record holder and Gold medallist in the 200m Breaststroke, just missing his National qualifying time by 19 hundredths’ of a second and finished third in the overall competition of 12-year-old boys.

Any of you staff/committee members out there might like to think if any other pages are required - eg a Trainer's tips page - do staff/committee members want their own email address on the site eg Club Secretary@Hamble Aquatics can be automatically directed to Helen's personal email address.
Just a thought!
